
We have received a question about debonding Pitts21 and Pitts21 PRO. Here are the answers we received from our Engineering department just in case you are asked.
Q: If an orthodontist debonds the Pitts21 or Pitts21 PRO without the 533-0400 Orthodontic Debonding Instrumentwill the bracket be damaged?
It depends on what kind of debonding instrument they are using but generally, it will not damage the bracket. (applies only to metal brackets). This said we do not recommend re-using the bracket.

The slot should not be damaged. (applies only to metal brackets)

Q: Is there a reason a bracket would need to be debonded and then bonded again?
Brackets sometimes need to be repositioned during treatment but we do not recommend re-using the bracket.
